Any one needs transit visa if he/she have to stay for few days.
If your parents intend to stay in London for few days they need to have transit visa otherwise there is no need at all.

No, its not needed. We did travel via London through BA and we didnt need it, but we have Green Card. Even my mom didnt need a visa to travel through London, she has a visitor visa for US.

hi if u r parents r going be inside the airport they dont need any
y visa.if they r halting for a day due to missed connetion flight the ba persons will help u get a 1 day visa.
